I would like to apply for enrolment in the selected vocational training course with Institute of Health and Nursing Australia (RTO ID: 21985) or one of its training partners - dependent on course, location, and date. I have read and understand information about my course including course delivery and duration, entry requirements, required resources, and other relevant information in the Course Brochure and on the Institute of Health and Nursing Australia website. I have also reviewed the policies and procedures associated with my enrolment in the student handbook and understand these terms of my enrolment with IHNA. I have read and understood IHNA’s policy and procedures.

I understand that I will be required to supply a USI to IHNA in accordance with national legislation. I declare that I have answered all questions truthfully to the best of my knowledge. I understand that all my personal details, including my USI, are confidential and are protected by relevant privacy laws. I give my consent to IHNA to release my name, date of birth, contact details and statistical information, including my USI, to the relevant Federal government bodies for the purpose of auditing, regulation of training, obtaining feedback and as statistical information. All Community services, Allied Health, Nursing, Management and Early Childhood Education Enrolments:

I understand that I am enrolling into a course that requires mandatory vocational placement and may be offered in a range of sites areas connected to partnering facilities across Australia therefore must be eligible to work in Australia. The courses that include Professional Clinical Placement need completion of recommended placement hours by Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS).

This may include courses in Individual support, Health Services Assistance, Ageing support, Disability, Counselling, Mental health, Allied Health Assistance, Early Childcare education, Diploma of Nursing, Pathology collection, sterilisation services, Dental Assistance, Health Administration, Leadership and Management and Practice Management.

The courses which include simulation-based training will need campus-based training on practical skills relevant to actual work environment. Dedicated days may be needed from students in IHNA Campuses to undergo skills training in clinical environment with the help of a trained Educator/Trainer.

Course Fees:

Enrolling in this qualification and availing the relevant state funding, may affect student's future training options (such as arrangements that limit funding to one qualification for a person) and the eligibility for further government subsidised training. Be aware that a VET Student Loan is a loan from the Australian Government and will remain a personal debt until it is repaid to the Commonwealth, which you will have to begin repaying when you reach the compulsory repayment threshold. Your eligibility for the VET Student Loan is subject to approval from the Department. In case your application is not approved you will be required to pay your course fees. Certificate III Pathology Enrolments:

I confirm that I am aware about 15 live bleeds to be completed as part of the Simulation Based Training (Students themselves will undergo in the presence of a trainer, live blood collection in a simulation environment).

Blended Delivery or Face-to-Face Enrolments:

I understand I need to provide my own laptop/notebook computer to use during my classes whenever required. I am aware that I should advise IHNA of my residential address in Australia and advise any change in my address during the period I am enrolled in the course/s. This can be done through IHNA online portal “Student Hub”. I acknowledge that I am willing to be assessed and that the assessment process has been fully explained to me. I am also aware that the program fees published does not cover associated travel, accommodation, living, uniforms, additional resources etc.

Non-Residents Studying in Australia:

I confirm I am required to have an appropriate visa to study in Australia with a non-CRICOS training provider. If my course includes a vocational placement requirement, I understand and confirm I have enough time left on my visa to complete the vocational placement required of the course in an appropriate registered Australian facility.

Why we collect your personal information

As a registered training organisation (Institute of Health and Nursing Australia- IHNA), we collect your personal information so we can process and manage your enrolment in a vocational education and training (VET) course with us.

How we use your personal information

We use your personal information to enable us to deliver VET courses to you, and otherwise, as needed, to comply with our obligations as an RTO.

How we disclose your personal information

We are required by law (under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) (NVETR Act)) to disclose the personal information we collect about you to the National VET Data Collection kept by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). The NCVER is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing and communicating research and statistics about the Australian VET sector.

We are also authorised by law (under the NVETR Act) to disclose your personal information to the relevant state or territory training authority.

How the NCVER and other bodies handle your personal information

The NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the NVETR Act. Your personal information may be used and disclosed by NCVER for purposes that include populating authenticated VET transcripts; administration of VET; facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage; and understanding the VET market.

The NCVER is authorised to disclose information to the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE), Commonwealth authorities, State and Territory authorities (other than registered training organisations) that deal with matters relating to VET and VET regulators for the purposes of those bodies, including to enable:

  • administration of VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation
  • facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage
  • understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information. The NCVER may also disclose personal information to persons engaged by NCVER to conduct research on NCVER’s behalf.
